How to play Saints Row: The Third split screen on PC
Get Nucleus Co-op
Download Nucleus Co-op, free for Windows 10 and 11, and unzip it into its own folder, for example C:\NucleusCo-op. There is no installer.
Keep it out of Program Files, your user folder and OneDrive.
Install the Saints Row: The Third handler
In Nucleus Co-op, search the Hub for Saints Row: The Third and install its handler, or download the handler file from this page and drop it on the Nucleus window. Then show Nucleus where Saints Row: The Third is installed.
Take a seat
Each player presses a button on their own controller to join and takes a spot on the screen. Pick a layout that fits your players.
Launch and connect
Press Launch: Nucleus opens one copy of Saints Row: The Third per player and lays the windows out on your screen. Then link them in game, usually one player hosts a LAN or online session and the others join it. The handler notes say how.

About Saints Row: The Third
Saints Row: The Third is the first Saints Row game that takes place in the city of Steelport. Much like the first two games, the story revolves around the Saints destroying and absorbing three rival gangs, taking over the city in the process. In Saints Row: The Third, these three gangs are the Morningstar, the Luchadores, and the Deckers. Unlike the first two games, these three gangs are all controlled by a criminal organization known as The Syndicate, which the saints must also deal with.

Start the game directly to run normally, start the game with software, and the window will flash back when it comes out.
Follow the FAQ troubleshooting: https://www.splitscreen.me/docs/faq/#19--a-nucleus-co-op-handler-doesnt-launchis-not-working-why You need latest Steam version of the game, also try moving Nucleus and the game to the same drive but do not place Nucleus inside the game files.
