Get Nucleus Co-op
Download Nucleus Co-op, free for Windows 10 and 11, and unzip it into its own folder, for example C:\NucleusCo-op. There is no installer.
Keep it out of Program Files, your user folder and OneDrive.

Install the ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead handler
In Nucleus Co-op, search the Hub for ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead and install its handler, or download the handler file from this page and drop it on the Nucleus window. Then show Nucleus where ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead is installed.

Take a seat
Each player presses a button on their own controller to join and takes a spot on the screen. Pick a layout that fits your players.
Playing with several keyboards and mice? Press End once everything is in place to give each window its own cursor.
Launch and connect
Press Launch: Nucleus opens one copy of ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead per player and lays the windows out on your screen. Then link them in game, usually one player hosts a LAN or online session and the others join it. The handler notes say how.

1. Handler Requirements

Version: Requires the official Steam version.

2. Input Support

Supports multiple Keyboards/Mice (KB/M) and Xinput controllers.
You must use the primary mouse for initial setup and menu navigation.
Warning: Avoid setting controller movement to 'default'; this can overlap with KB input. Remap controls manually if needed.

3. Integration (Arma 2 + OA)

To run Combined Operations (integrating Arma 2 assets into OA):
- Copy the entire Addons folder from your Arma 2 installation directory.
- Paste it into the following Operation Arrowhead path: Operation Arrowhead → Expansion → Addons.

4. Hosting, Joining, & Performance

Hosting: Go to Multiplayer → Change the server type to 'LAN' → Start the match.
Joining: Clients should join using the Server Browser.
Low-End Systems: Set graphics to Very Low and reduce the resolution.
