How to play Final Fantasy XIV Online split screen on PC
Get Nucleus Co-op
Download Nucleus Co-op, free for Windows 10 and 11, and unzip it into its own folder, for example C:\NucleusCo-op. There is no installer.
Keep it out of Program Files, your user folder and OneDrive.
Install the Final Fantasy XIV Online handler
In Nucleus Co-op, search the Hub for Final Fantasy XIV Online and install its handler, or download the handler file from this page and drop it on the Nucleus window. Then show Nucleus where Final Fantasy XIV Online is installed.
Take a seat
Each player presses a button on their own controller to join and takes a spot on the screen. Pick a layout that fits your players.
Playing with several keyboards and mice? Press End once everything is in place to give each window its own cursor.
Launch and connect
Press Launch: Nucleus opens one copy of Final Fantasy XIV Online per player and lays the windows out on your screen. Then link them in game, usually one player hosts a LAN or online session and the others join it. The handler notes say how.

Choose if you want to play with controllers or keyboard/mouse. If you were to choose keyboard/mouse, then you will need to lock the input by pressing the end key. This needs to be done once all the instances have loaded, resized and repositioned. Once you've finished playing, press the end key again to unlock the input.
-
Once the FFXIV launcher opens up, login with your Square Enix ID and press PLAY, only once the actual game instance appears proceed to press OK in the Nucleus prompt message - this will open the FFXIV Launcher once again, proceed to login with your second Square Enix ID and press PLAY. Once the second game instance appears, press OK in the Nucleus prompt window to initiate the repositioning and resizing process.
-
Once you've finished playing, press CTRL+Q to quickly close your instances and to close Nucleus. In case you wish to view your desktop and minimize the instances without closing them, press CTRL+T. Press CTRL+T once again to maximize your instances once again.

I would recommend experimenting on low level trial account as I cannot guarantee that you will not get banned. Personally, I have been playing on trial accounts for a couple of years now, and so far all has worked out fine.
