How to play Kill to Collect split screen on PC

  1. Get Nucleus Co-op

Download Nucleus Co-op, free for Windows 10 and 11, and unzip it into its own folder, for example C:\NucleusCo-op. There is no installer.

Keep it out of Program Files, your user folder and OneDrive.

    Download Nucleus Co-op

  2. Install the Kill to Collect handler

In Nucleus Co-op, search the Hub for Kill to Collect and install its handler, or download the handler file from this page and drop it on the Nucleus window. Then show Nucleus where Kill to Collect is installed.

    Download the handler file (.nc)

  3. Take a seat

Each player presses a button on their own controller to join and takes a spot on the screen. Pick a layout that fits your players.

Playing with several keyboards and mice? Press End once everything is in place to give each window its own cursor.

  4. Launch and connect

Press Launch: Nucleus opens one copy of Kill to Collect per player and lays the windows out on your screen. Then link them in game, usually one player hosts a LAN or online session and the others join it. The handler notes say how.

  • A multiplayer mode

Nucleus links the windows through the game's own LAN or online mode; the handler takes care of it.

Handler notes

Read the handler notes in the UI very carefully to make gamepads work. Tested with wireless xbox 360 gamepads. Xbox One gamepads could not work with focus because of this: http://www.snes9x.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?t=27510

The game already has local co-op for 2 players only, with this you can play up to four using gamepads or multiple keyboards and mice.

About Kill to Collect

Kill to Collect is a cyberpunk roguelike for up to four player co-op that is designed for short bursts of intense gameplay sessions, rewarding players for their skilled survival. Featuring procedurally generated levels, Kill to Collect brings a constant challenge and no two experiences are the same - every interaction could make the difference between life and death. Set in Geoshelter Alpha, a dangerous and dystopian world that is the last known city on Earth, hired bounty "Hunters" must traverse the lawless slums below defeating waves of enemies to reinstate peace and order. Whether hired for money or glory, the "Hunters" all follow the same code: Kill to Collect.
