Get Nucleus Co-op
Download Nucleus Co-op, free for Windows 10 and 11, and unzip it into its own folder, for example C:\NucleusCo-op. There is no installer.
Keep it out of Program Files, your user folder and OneDrive.
Download Nucleus Co-op
Install the Nioh 2: The Complete Edition handler
In Nucleus Co-op, search the Hub for Nioh 2: The Complete Edition and install its handler, or download the handler file from this page and drop it on the Nucleus window. Then show Nucleus where Nioh 2: The Complete Edition is installed.

Take a seat
Each player presses a button on their own controller to join and takes a spot on the screen. Pick a layout that fits your players.
Playing with several keyboards and mice? Press End once everything is in place to give each window its own cursor.
Launch and connect
Press Launch: Nucleus opens one copy of Nioh 2: The Complete Edition per player and lays the windows out on your screen. Then link them in game, usually one player hosts a LAN or online session and the others join it. The handler notes say how.

Split-screen setup.
ONLY Steam version of the game supported for now.
Tested with the latest version of the game from Steam (1.28.06).
Fixed aspect ratio for ultrawide and other custom resolutions.
To connect the instances you have to finish the tutorial, play until you are in the world map, go to the tori door, select create a room and join in the other instances.
Gamepads and multiple keyboards and mice supported.

Hello everyone In the middle of 2024 the game stopped running and NucleusCoop began to open a window with the inscription "Root element is missing", and in the file of the log there were lines Jint.Runtime.Interop.MethodInfoFunctionInstance.Invoke(MethodInfo[] methodInfos, JsValue thisObject, JsValue[] jsArguments) and Nucleus.Gaming.GenericGameHandler.StartPlay(Object handler). I reinstalled everything, made downgrade versions and handler, changed the compatibility properties, moved folders to different disks - it didn't help. It turned out that the graphical configuration file config.xml (pathway C:\Users \<user_name>\Documents\KoeiTecmo\NIOH2) is filled with tabs. I deleted it and game create new correct. p.s. I hope my experience will be useful to someone.

alt tab to another non game window then lock the inputs with the end key, that should even out fps. also consider lowering your settings and or limiting your fps.
