How to play SWAT 4: Gold Edition split screen on PC
Get Nucleus Co-op
Download Nucleus Co-op, free for Windows 10 and 11, and unzip it into its own folder, for example C:\NucleusCo-op. There is no installer.
Keep it out of Program Files, your user folder and OneDrive.
Install the SWAT 4: Gold Edition handler
In Nucleus Co-op, search the Hub for SWAT 4: Gold Edition and install its handler, or download the handler file from this page and drop it on the Nucleus window. Then show Nucleus where SWAT 4: Gold Edition is installed.
Take a seat
Each player joins with their own keyboard and mouse and takes a spot on the screen. Pick a layout that fits your players.
Playing with several keyboards and mice? Press End once everything is in place to give each window its own cursor.
Launch and connect
Press Launch: Nucleus opens one copy of SWAT 4: Gold Edition per player and lays the windows out on your screen. Then link them in game, usually one player hosts a LAN or online session and the others join it. The handler notes say how.

Each player runs their own copy of SWAT 4: Gold Edition, so the PC carries several times the usual load. Lower the graphics settings if it struggles. Performance tips

Nucleus links the windows through the game's own LAN or online mode; the handler takes care of it.

Only keyboards and horizontal split screen is not supported.
Notes:
The main script uses the "The Stetchkov Syndicate" DLC exe (you will need to select the Swat4x.exe). *Inside the SWAT4 - Gold Edition scripts folder, I included scripts for:
- Vanilla version (without the DLC included in the Gold Edition)
- Elite Force mod https://www.moddb.com/mods/swat-elite-force
*Horizontal mode makes the menu stretched and basically is impossible to use. Go with Vertical split screen instead.
How to:
- Wait until the instance is set and ready before starting the next one.
- When the last instance is set and ready, press "ok" on the last Nucleus-Coop prompt (hook/send fake message).
- Create a LAN server in one instance and join through the browser server with the other ones (select LAN filter).
- Script set your Nucleus-Coop nicknames in-game but you can still change them in the Start server or Browser server tabs.
