  2. Install the Team Fortress 2 Classic handler

  3. Take a seat

Each player presses a button on their own controller to join and takes a spot on the screen. Pick a layout that fits your players.

Contributors of this script: Mame from the Split Screen Dreams Discord.

Pre-Requisites:

  1. Download the game https://tf2classic.com/download.php
  2. Download and Install Source SDK 2013 Multiplayer from Steam
  3. Extract/Copy the "tf2classic" folder in the root of the Source SDK 2013

How to:

  1. Start a server in the first instance.
  2. When first player is in the game, start the next instance.
  • If you are using keyboards, when all is set, press "END" for restrict the input. Press it again for release it if needed.

  • It seems that loading a new map or create a new server, will disconnect other players. After the first instance loaded the new map/server, alt+tab on other instances and press "F8" for join in the server. This way you don't need to type the connect command inside the console.

  • You can pause the server by pressing F7.

When using XboxOne controllers, you will need to use a workaround for play with more than 4 gamepads. Open the script for more infos.

About Team Fortress 2 Classic

Team Fortress 2 Classic is a re-imagining of the 2008-2009 era of the original Team Fortress 2, of which is what we consider the "Classic Era", featuring old features that were scrapped and worked upon, or new content such as new weapons and gamemodes. Such gamemodes consist of original core TF2 gamemodes ranging from Capture the Flag to Special Delivery, our own additions such as VIP and Domination, or even the addition for two new teams in several existing modes.
